Carrier approval and equipment

The published registration checklist requires carrier identification, W-9, agreements and insurance, plus active authority and a Satisfactory or unrated safety rating. Registration does not guarantee approval.

Published minimums are $1 million auto liability and $100,000 cargo liability, with reefer breakdown coverage for reefer carriers.

Current help directs the insurance agent to send the COI to Highway; an older RMIS registration page remains accessible. Follow the onboarding instructions issued for your account.

Published options include dry van, reefer, flatbed and power only, including Powerloop trailer opportunities. Lane availability varies.

Uber Freight identifies itself as a licensed freight broker. Check the tendering broker and rate confirmation for each load.

Spot bookings and contract opportunities

Exchange: Spot advertises upfront prices, load requirements and facility ratings, instant booking, bid management and conditional bids for alternate pickup dates.

Exchange contract bids can lead to direct shipper assignments. Its invitation page says contracts, purchase orders and payment are then arranged with the shipper.

The cancellation policy exempts cancellations within 15 minutes of booking or at least 24 hours before pickup from score penalties. Later cancellations can affect your reliability score.

The current iOS listing requires iOS/iPadOS 17 or later and warns that location may be used while the app is closed.

Payment choices and timing

The payment FAQ gives a standard 30-day period after a valid proof of delivery is uploaded and approved.

Quick Pay deducts 2.5% and releases payment within two business days after required shipment documents are received, reviewed and approved.

The Quick Pay terms cover ten-digit UF- load numbers and exclude seven-digit McLeod loads.

The payment speed selected when a load is booked applies to that load. The FAQ says the faster-payment fee also applies to accessorials.

Quick Pay enrollment or opt-out can take up to five business days. Published terms allow prospective changes with 15 days’ notice.

Uber Freight can pay a contracted factor. The FAQ says faster-pay eligibility requires direct ACH rather than a factoring company, but also directs factoring users to contact its payment team. Confirm your arrangement.

The payment FAQ ties ongoing same-day eligibility to an approved Carrier Card, monthly spending of $3,500 per truck and paperwork approved before 11 a.m. CST. Payouts run on business days.

Tracking and Top Carrier benefits

Tracking is scored across the last 10 loads. At least 50% of required updates must be automated for good standing; the Top Carrier threshold is 85%. App, ELD, EDI and supported location providers are options.

Top Carrier two-day pay requires a quarterly snapshot with at least 15 digitally booked loads, 95% on-time pickup and delivery, 85% automated tracking and no more than 5% cancellations. Direct ACH eligibility also applies.

Detention, receipts and canceled loads

The cited policy covers non-hazmat Uber Freight brokerage loads and excludes some affiliated brokerages. Check the tendering broker on the rate confirmation.

Published detention is $40 per hour after two hours from the appointment, capped at five paid hours. Timely arrival and compliant equipment are required.

Request detention within 24 hours of delivery. Supply qualifying tracking or facility-printed/signed in-and-out times; notify support 30 minutes before detention if location data cannot be shared.

Lumper reimbursement requires a valid receipt submitted within 24 hours of delivery and a rate confirmation that permits the service.

The U.S. policy lists $150 TONU for dry van/flatbed and $200 for reefer, subject to conditions. Report the problem promptly and remain nearby until released.

The app listing advertises 24/7 support and in-app proof-of-delivery submission. Published availability is not a guaranteed resolution time.
